<p>PURPOSE:To increase the adsorbing capacity of H2S and CoS and to shorten the time required in the regenerated of a desulfurizing agent, by compounding iron oxide having a cerium compound added thereto to prepare the desulfurizing agent for sulfide in reducing gas. CONSTITUTION:A desulfurizing agent is prepared by supporting iron oxide and a cerium compound by a carrier composed of Al2O3, Al2O3-SiO2, zeolite or SiO2. The ratio of iron oxide in the entire sulfurizing agent is desired to be high but, from the aspect of impregnation operation, about 10-40wt% is pref. as Fe2O3. The addition amount of the cerium compound is pref. about 2-15wt% of the entire desulfurizing agent as CeO2. The desulfurizing agent obtained is increased in adsorbing capacity as compared with a conventional desulfurizing agent supporting only iron oxide and can be regenerated within the time almost the same to an adsorbing time.</p> |
