<p>PURPOSE:To recover steam efficiently by incinerating a large amount of sludge with a less amount of diluting air, by introducing red hot coke from a coke over into a prechamber into which air is gradually introduced, blowing water and/or extra sludge thereinto and cooling the coke with recycling inert gas. CONSTITUTION:Air is gradually introduced into a prechamber before the charging lid of a coke over is opened, and red hot coke discharged from the coke over is then introduced into the prechamber through a charging port at the top of the over. Water and/or dehydrated extra sludge from an activated sludge treating system are/is continuously blown into the prechamber and inert gas such as N2 is introduced from the bottom of the column thereinto and is allowed to be recycled to make an exchange of heat, thus cooling the coke. Steam is efficiently recovered by utilizing the resulting sensible heat.</p> |
