PURPOSE:To permit both excavating and lifting-up operations to be performed by a method in which a boom is provided in a vertically rocking manner, another boom is rotatably attached to the tip of the boom, and a bucket is attached to the tip of the boom and a crane mechanism is also provided. CONSTITUTION:The first boom 6 is pivotally supported in a vertically rocking manner on the front center of a slewing base 5 and operated by tilting or raising it vertically by an oil-pressure cylinder 7. A boom 8 is also connected to the tip of the boom 6, and a bucket 9 is connected to the tip of the boom 8. A crane mechanism 15 is attached to the upper straight side of the boom 6. Both ground-excavating and heavy object lifting-up operations can thus be performed by the same excavator.
