<p>PURPOSE:To improve detection sensitivity and resistance to breakdown, by connecting first and second cantilevers in a specified range with a weight set on the second cantilever. CONSTITUTION:First and second cantilevers 11 and 16 are fixed on a pedestal 12 paralleling each other closely. The lever 11 has a strain gauge 13 attached thereto on the fixed end side thereof and a foil-like magnetic body 15 on the free end side thereof. A magnet (weight) 17 is provided on the back of the free end of the lever 16. Then, when an acceleration is applied to the magnet 17 of the lever 16, the lever 16 deflects and as the magnetic body 15 of the lever 11 is attracted to the magnet 17, and so does the lever 11 deflects as much as the lever 16 due to the attracting force working thereon. Distortion of the lever 11 at this point is detected with the gauge 13. Moreover, when an excessive acceleration is applied beyond a specified range, the lever 16 deflects even more greatly by this force. The magnetic body 15 is attracted to the magnet 17, but it only can be connected to the lever 16 within a specified range as the force of the acceleration applied is larger than the attracting force. This permits the returning of the lever 11 to the original condition before the gauge 13 breaks.</p> |
