PURPOSE:To reduce the rolling resistance without deteriorating the steering stability by forming a fiber reinforcing material by allowing a cord-shaped fiber bundle, etc., having a specific gravity, specific tensile strength, and tensile modulus to be impregnated with a specific ratio of the thermosetting resin having a specific tensile modulus after hardening. CONSTITUTION:The fiber reinforced material which is formed by allowing the cord-shaped fiber bundle or fabric consisting of the fiber having a high strength and high modulus to be impregnated with the thermosetting resin is used as the belt reinforced layer of a tire. In this case, the fiber bundle or fabric is constituted of the fiber bundle which consists of a number of fiber filaments having a specific gravity of 3.0 or less, tensile strength of 10 g/d or more and a tensile modulus of 1200 g/d or more and has a thickness of 10,000 D or less. As the thermosetting resin, used is the resin having a tensile modulus after hardening of 150 kgf/mm<2> or more. Further, the impregnation quantity of the thermosetting resin onto the fiber bundle is set to 15 wt% or more for the fiber bundle weight, preferably 30 wt% or more.
