SEPARATOR FOR ENCLOSED TYPE LEAD STORAGE BATTERY

PURPOSE:To improve adhesion of separator for enclosed type leas storage battery to electrode plates and improve diffusion of electrolyte toward the electrode plates by mixing and paper milling glass fibers and polymer fibers having functional group hydrolyzed or sulfonated by sulfuric acid in the electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:Glass fibers and polymer fibers having functional group hydrolyzed or sulfonated by sulfuric acid in electrolyte of 5.0-70% are added. For example, glass fibers with 2 mu-average fiber diameter of 50 wt% and polyvinyl formal fibers with 1.0 mu-average fiber diameter of 50 wt% are mixed and paper milled. By the arrangement, the diffusion of electrolyte toward electrode is increased and the capacity restoration of enclosed type leas storage battery after long term storage is widely improved.
