<p>PURPOSE:To enable the continuous use of an air cleaner and to prolong the service life thereof by providing a cleaning chamber successively to a dust collection chamber having a dust collection part via an airtight opening and closing means, and providing a means for performing dust removal and/or sterilization of a collecting electrode in the inside of the cleaning chamber. CONSTITUTION:In the case of cleaning a dust collection part 30, after opening a shutter 40, the driving motor 66 of a mobile mechanism 60 is driven to transfer the dust collection part 30 toward a cleaning chamber 18 from a dust collection chamber 16. After heating a heater 80 for heat sterilization or self-heating dust-collecting electrodes 34 to heat bacteria and various germs stuck to dust, the dust stuck on the dust-collecting electrodes 34 is removed in the case of transfer of the dust collection part 30 or by transfer of scrapers 52 being a cleaning means 50. In this case, a suction fan 70 is driven, and the removed dust is prevented from being again scattered. The dust collection part 30 after dust removal is again arranged in the inside of the dust collection chamber 16 by means of the mobile mechanism 60 and performs ordinary air cleaning.</p> |
