PURPOSE:To wash a spray head over the entire area thereof, by providing a washing thinner jet nozzle capable of injecting a washing thinner toward the arbitrary area of the inner surface of the cup-shaped spray head. CONSTITUTION:When painting is finished, the number of rotations of a cup- shaped spray head 26 is lowered to the number of rotations for washing and, at the same time, air is injected from the inside and outside chambers of the housing 27 of an air injector 25. The air from the outside chamber having an outer diameter larger than that of the spray head 26 flows as the outer peripheral air of the spray head 26 as shown by an arrow D. In this state, a washing thinner jet nozzle 43 is set in a predetermined direction with respect to the inner surface of the spray head 26 through a piston rod 39a to start washing. By this constitution, the area to which paint particles are adhered on the central part of a usual cup-shaped spray head 3 other than the inner peripheral surface thereof can be perfectly and automatically washed with the washing thinner and washing air from the washing thinner jet nozzle 43. |
