PURPOSE:To improve the manufacturing accuracy as well as to facilitate the errosion resistant treatment, of the diaphragm in the caption, by providing a reinforcing rib formed in a separate body between an outer ring and an inner ring, on the diaphragm consisting of the outer ring, the inner ring, and a nozzle blade. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing rib 2 formed in a separate body between an outer ring 1a and an inner ring 1b is fixed on a steam turbine diaphragm 1 by means of electron beam welds 5. A nozzle blade 3 is held by an outer spacer 4a and an inner spacer 4b, and then fixed between the outer ring 1a and the inner ring 1b by means of welds 6. Further, the reinforcing rib 2 is provided with an errosion resistant treatment 7 as an anti-errosion measure either on the overall surface of the periphery of the rib 2 or on a part of the side face of its steam intake, by using the hardening treatment of chrome carbide, etc.
