PURPOSE:To relax the concentration of stress and to improve strength by providing a reinforcement plate for further reinforcement at the reactive force position of the main stiffening member of an oil-filled electric apparatus tank. CONSTITUTION:A main reinforcement member 6 of a channel steel is fixed by welding around side plates 4, 5, a reinforcement plate 20 is fixed by welding 20a at the point of intersection of the main reinforcement member 6 and the side plate 5, i.e., a reactive force position and the main reinforcement member 6 and the side plates 4, 5 are perfectly integrated. Accordingly, a welding beat length is increased by a dimension W by the reinforcement plate 20 against the reactive force of the main reinforcement member so the stress at the end of the main reinforcement member can be reduced to approx. 1/5 compared with a conventional system.
