PURPOSE:To prevent the increase of pressure in an oil sump and to prevent unburnt gas from flowing into a burner part, by a method wherein the end part on the oil sump side of an escape pipe is situated in insertion to a position under the liquid level of kerosene in an oil sump. CONSTITUTION:Unburnt gas flows through a plunger valve 24 in an escape pipe 7 and returns to an oil sump 3. Since the lower end of the escape pipe 7 is located in insertion down to a position under the liquid level of kerosene in the oil sump 3, heated unburnt gas is brought into contact with kerosene for cooling, and is instantaneously condensed. Thus, a pressure in the oil sump 3 is prevented from increasing. Further, unburnt gas is also prevented from flowing into a drain pipe 6.
