PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a program electronic computer by switching automatically a program execution mode to a program editing mode based on the input of a command related to a program editing job. CONSTITUTION:A mode switching means switches a program execution mode to a program editing mode based on the input of a command related to a program editing job. In other words, a LIST processing program decides whether the current function-based mode is equal to a PRO mode or a RUN mode. When the PRO mode is confirmed, a BASIC program list is outputted to a liquid crystal display part 1 via a display control part 14. When a RUN mode is confirmed, a PRO mode flag is set at '1' together with a RUN mode flag set at '0' respectively. Then the BASIC program list is displayed.
