PURPOSE:To reliably fix an outer retainer on an inner ring to effectively exhibit an aligning action and to avoid local abrasion, deformation and damage by forming two engaging portions engaged with two sprag insertion holes of the outer retainer and at least one pair of leg portions on the base. CONSTITUTION:Two engaging portions 8c inserted in two adjacent sprag insertion holes of an outer retainer and three leg portions 8b are formed on the base 8a. When this is assembled, a sprag is disposed between two adjacent leg portions 8b. Accordingly, the outer retainer is reliably fixed to an outer ring, the aligning action of the retainer is made effective, the abrasion of the sprag is prevented to improve an engagement characteristic, besides assembling is facilitated to avoid local abrasion, deformation and damage.
