PURPOSE:To realize an inexpensive electronic timer offering excellent operability by adopting the operation of a slide switch for the setting of a timer and displaying the remaining time and setting time by dot display elements corre sponding to the number of position of the slide switch. CONSTITUTION:Digital code terminals 4a-4c are the terminals of a 6-position slide switch to set a 10-minute digit of a timer and a digital code is generated depending on the position. Moreover, digital code terminals 5a-5c are terminals to set an hour-digit and its structure or the like is similar to those of the terminals 4a-4c. In setting an RS-F/F 12, various counters of a second-counter 14 and subsequent counter start count down. Outputs of a decoder 30 are given to a blink control circuit composed of AND circuits 31-34 and OR circuits 35-39. The remaining time is displayed by sequential extengishment of dots and the timer operation is confirmed easily by blinking the least significant dot.
