PURPOSE:To facilitate wiring work and to prevent erroneous wiring from being generated, by performing the switching control of an optical switch circuit by a control circuit. CONSTITUTION:The switching control of the optical switch circuits 43-1 and 43-2 are performed by the control circuits 44-1 and 44-2. Therefore, the parallel connection or the cross connection of two optical transmitters 30-1 and 30-2 are performed by using two optical fibers 31-1 and 31-2, and an optical signal of wavelength lambda2 is trans mitted on the optical fiber 31-1 in a reverse direction, and also, the optical signal of wavelength lambda1 is transmitted on the optical fiber 31-2 in the reverse direction. Furthermore, even when the optical signal of wavelength lambda1 is transmitted on the optical fiber 31-1 in the reverse direction, and also, the optical signal of wavelength lambda2 is transmitted on the optical fiber 31-2 in the reverse direction, the optical switch circuits 43-1 and 43-2 are switched automatically, then, the transmission of the optical signal can be performed smoothly. Accordingly, lines can be connected with the optical fibers 31-1 and 31-2 without being conscious of the direction of the transmission/ reception of the optical transmitters 30-1 and 30-2 being placed oppositely. In such a way, the wiring work can be facilitated, and the erroneous wiring can be prevented from being generated. |
