PURPOSE:To obtain a sensor which yields high image quality by compacting light transmittable island components having 5-200mu diameter at 100-10,000 ratio in a sea part to form multioptical fibers made of plastic having a square outside circumference and integrating one end of such fibers to a line shape and the other end to a square or circular shape. CONSTITUTION:The arrangement density of the fibers is preferably >=2 line pairs/mm and, therefore, the diameter is selected at 5-200mu to prevent the disturbance in the arrangement. The fibers are adequately piled on each other so that the arrangement positions of the islands disposed at the end face of one fiber make 1:1 correspondence. A difference between the refractive index of the polymer of the core which is the island component of the fiber and the refractive index of the polymer of the sleeve or sea component is set at >=0.01 to prevent the deterioration in sharpness of transmitted image. The island 22 of the fiber 21 is a picture element contributing to transmission and the part 23 is sea. The islands are densely disposed in the sea at 100-10,000 ratio at one end 2 and are arrayed to the line shape at the other end 3. The line sensor which transmits the bright image having high quality without uneven quantity of the light passing in each transmission system is obtd. according to this constitution. |
