A ventilation ceiling device for clean rooms, in particular operating rooms (operating theatres), comprises a frame which is fixedly mounted in a room and in which air outlet devices for the clean air are arranged within a predetermined clean-room area. These air outlet devices are supplied with at least pre-filtered air. The air flows out of the air outlet devices through a large number of small, substantially uniformly distributed air outlet openings, a laminar air flow arising. In order to direct the clean air, as far as possible undisturbed, from the ceiling into the vicinity of the working area, there is provided a tube-like screen which encloses the clean-room area on all sides and starts from the air outlet devices and ends at a distance above the working area. One or more illuminating devices, which are cooled by the clean air, are also integrated within the air outlet devices.
