PURPOSE:To reduce the mercuric sublimation by employing at least one kind of salt among a specific paraffin sulfonate and those salts made through neutrization of it with an alkaline metal as an anticorrosive for a negative plate active material. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of salt among paraffin sulfonate R-SO3 whose number of carbon of alkaline base R is 5-45 and a base R-SO3K, R-SO3Na, etc., made by neutralizing it with alkaline metals is employed as an anticorrosive for Zn of a negative plate active material. Accordingly, the rate of mercuric sublimation is reduced while keeping anticorrosiveness. Therefore, the quantity of marcury used for mercuric sublimation of the negative plate of Zn can be reduced to be minimized so that a zinc-alkaline battery with low environmental pollution can be composed of. |
