PURPOSE:To manufacture a thin uniform photoconductor film at good yield by applying electrostatic charge to aerosol generated from a solvent dispersing or dissolving the photoconductor, and bringing it electrostatically into contact with the surface of a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The fine aerosol is sprayed from a nozzle 4 by introducing a compressed gas through an inlet 2 into an aerosol generator 1 containing the solvent dispersing or dissolving the photoconductor, and electrostatic charge is applied to the aerosol at the part of the nozzle 4 by a charge generator 5. On the other hand, the conductive substrate drum 7 having the center line 6 of a longer axis as a rotational axis is grounded, and brought electrostatically into contact with the charged aerosol to form the photoconductor layer. At that time, the nozzle 4 is swayed from side to side, thus permitting the uniform photoconductor layer, i.e. a charge generating layer to be formed, and a laminate type electrophotographic sensitive body superior in performance to be obtained at a stable yield. |
