PURPOSE:To reduce checking time, by providing a photoelectric transfer device sensing a mark on a marking head of a transfer roller and a position sensor which detects the rotating position of the transfer roller to control an image sensing timing of the photoelectric transfer device. CONSTITUTION:An HD forming unit 34 with an inputted position signal (h) converts the position signal (h) and, according to the converted signal, controls a sensing timing of an optical input information (m) as the sensing data of a mark 3 to be sensed by a photoelectric transfer device 8. For example, if the mark 3 with a missing 40 and an unwanted matter 41 is inputted in the photoelectric transfer device 8 of a marking head monitoring device as the optical input information (m); the optical input information (m) is caught as the bit information of input pattern data (t) consisting of (n)-mark lines, the consistency of the bit information with the respective bits of a standard pattern data (e) corresponding to the input pattern data (t) is measured, and whether the input pattern data (t) is proper is checked and judged. |
