A connector provided with a first connector 2 and a second connector 22 connected to the first connector, wherein the first connector is provided with: a first housing formed by two side walls, a bottom surface, and a wall part that faces the distal-end part of the second connector, said first housing having a reception space for receiving the second connector fitted from above the bottom surface; holding parts 4j in which the second connector installed from above is held in the position of a ready-for-fitting state; and a locking part that locks so that the second connector does not disengage in the length direction of the two walls; wherein the second connector is provided with a second housing having the distal-end part and two outer walls that face the two side walls constituting part of the reception space, held parts 32b that are held by the holding parts of the first connector in the ready-for-fitting state, and an engagement part for engaging with the locking part of the first connector; and wherein the first connector and second connector are capable of moving, in the ready-for-fitting state, from a wall-contacting position in which the distal-end part of the second connector is caused to contact the first-connector wall parts that constitute part of the reception space, to a locked position in which the locking part of the first connector and the engagement part of the second connector are caused to contact each other. |
