The acrylic fiber according to the present invention is formed of an acrylic polymer containing acrylonitrile and has a deformation degree of 0.13 or lower and a surface roughness of 6000 μm2 or lower. The acrylic fiber according to the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an acrylic fiber whereby the acrylic fiber is manufactured by spinning the acrylic fiber by a wet spinning method or a dry-wet spinning method using a spinning dope in which an acrylic polymer is dissolved in an organic solvent, said method comprising at least a coagulation step, a water washing step and a drying step, characterized in that, before the drying step, the acrylic fiber pressed between nip rolls is pre-dried in a dryer into which steam is supplied. |
