The crystal-clear, transparent multilayer safety film is a laminate of a single-layer or multilayer polyethylene terephthalate-based polyester film and an aromatic polyether sulphone film which are bonded to one another by means of a polyacrylate-based reaction adhesive to form a laminate. If this film is adhesively bonded with the polyester side to a glass substrate so as to be flush with the surface and bubble-free, in particular using the same crosslinkable reaction adhesive with which the film laminate has also been produced, a bulletproof safety glass is obtained which is thinner and more lightweight than conventional safety glasses which meet the same safety requirements.
