PURPOSE:To automatically limit the operation of a main oil pump trip device for improving the operational efficiency of a plant by interposing an electromagnetic valve in a piping affording communicating between a main oil pump or the like and said trip device and controllably opening and closing the electromagnetic valve with ATS (automatic starting) device. CONSTITUTION:An impeller 2 of a main oil pump 1 is mounted on a turbine rotor 3 and drain pipes 4 are connected to respective controllers through pipings 6. On the other hand, a piping 9 is connected to he drain side of an auxiliary oil pump 7 and the front end of the piping 9 is joined with the piping 6. To the front end of a piping 10 branched from the piping 6 is connected a trip cylinder 12 of a main oil pump trip device 11. In said device is provided a piping 30 branched from the piping 9 and communicating to the trip cylinder 12, while the piping 30 is provided with a two-way electromagnetic valve 31 to be controllably opened and closed by an ATS device 32. And if necessary, said valve 31 is automatically opened to supply oil pressure in said pump 7 to the trip cylinder 12.
