The invention relates to a hose, in particular to a motor-vehicle cooling-water hose, onto which a branching hose is fitted tangentially with respect to the hose cross-section. This provides an advantageous possibility of allowing the branching hose, even in the case of constricted installation conditions, to open, with optimum utilisation of space, in each case at the highest or lowest point of the main-hose cross-section.
