A pixel electrode and a liquid crystal display panel. Configuration of the main trunk portion with an orthoganally-turning Z-shaped structure having reduced width causes the liquid crystal molecules located at the main trunk electrodes (1, 2) to be arranged as closely as possible to a 45-degree layout, thus increasing the effective display area and resolving the problem of lowered transmittance caused by the direction of liquid crystal molecules being reversed at the fishbone "crucifix" point of quadraxially-arranged pixel electrodes. Increasing in this way the transmittance of liquid-crystal panels reduces the demand for backlight brightness, thus reducing costs and power consumption when in use. The present liquid crystal display features configuration of the main trunk portion of the pixel electrodes with an orthoganally-turning Z-shaped structure, increased transmittance, reduced demand for backlight brightness, and lower power consumption when in use. |
