PURPOSE:To provide a wire- or tape-shaped superconductor of oxide type excel lent in processing easiness and flexibility by turning superconductive material of oxide type into powder, adding thereto binder, solvent, etc., followed by kneading for making it in paste, and performing extrusion molding. CONSTITUTION:Binder, solvent, plastitizer, ceramic fiber, metal fiber, and one or more types of metal powder are added to a power-formed superconductor of oxide type, followed by kneading, for making it in paste, and this is subjected to extrusion molding. That is, a certain solvent binder and plastitizer are added to the material powder, followed by kneading and the resulting paste is extruded by an auger machine to turn it into tape, cylinder, or honeycomb. Particles of the material powder will be 100 mesh pass or preferably be 200 mesh pass, and the binder to be added as a binding agent uses a one having a proper stickiness and flexibility at the time of extrusion molding, e.g., organic, inorganic binder, etc. This allows easy forming of superconductor of oxide type into wire or tape.
