This active antenna system is provided with: a plurality of antenna elements; an antenna main body that is provided with the antenna elements; and a plurality of signal processing modules that perform processing of wireless signals received by and to be transmitted from the antenna elements. The signal processing modules are removably attached to the antenna main body, and respectively have first input/output terminals for inputting/outputting the wireless signals between apparatuses in the upstream and the signal processing modules, and second input/output terminals for inputting and outputting the wireless signals between the antenna elements and the signal processing modules.
