Apparatus for injecting adhesives comprises a syringe type device, 10, having a piston, 13, movable within a cylinder, 11. Resilient means 15 eg rubber bands, attached in tension to projections 12A, 12B, on the cylinder and projections 14A, 14B on the piston act to urge the discharge of the contents of cylinder automatically. The apparatus is arranged to be attached to a socket positioned over a crack. In other embodiments coil springs may be used as the resilient means, the projections 12 may form part of the socket and the syringe may be push fitted rather than threaded into the socket. <IMAGE>
