PURPOSE:To make it possible to store wide band wavelength solar energy for a prolonged period of time by a method wherein in the case of the solar heat utilizing device, a plurality of vessels and communication pipes are provided and the rays of the sun are applied to a highly strainable chemical compound in each of the vessels to thereby collect solar energy. CONSTITUTION:The vessels 12 and 14 in which optical energy storing chemical compound which changes into a highly strained chemical compound by being exposed to the rays of the sun is received communicate with each other through the communication pipe 18. Then the communication between the optical energy storing chemical compounds in the vessels 12 and 14 is controlled by a changeover valve 32 provided between the communication pipes 18. In case where the highly strained chemical compound passes through the communication pipes 18, it comes into contact with a catalyst 27 within the pipes to cause thermal reactions to take place and the resultant heat is discharged by means of a heat discharge fan 28. |
