A driver's compartment of a railway vehicle, having an entry space and a false ceiling which forms an air distribution space with the ceiling of the driver's compartment. Air is fed into the air distribution space by an air-conditioning system. Slots are provided for air to enter the driver's compartment. With such an arrangement, a very good routing, distribution and control of the air supplied by the air-conditioning unit whilst avoiding draught manifestations is ensured according to the invention with a minimum constructional outlay if the air distribution space (4) is low in height in comparison with the overall height of the driver's compartment (3) and is connected in terms of flow to the driver's compartment at three edges (7) of the false ceiling (1) by means of adjustable air expulsion openings (8) or expulsion slots (10) and an essentially horizontal overflow into the entry space (11) from an edge (12) of the false ceiling (1) adjoining the entry space (11) is provided, for which purpose, a hole shutter (28) which can be displaced for the purpose of adjusting the through-flow cross-section is provided in this area. <IMAGE> |
