NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I having the following characteristics: Appearance, white and amorphous powder; elemental analysis (%), C 61.54, H 8.93, N 12.51; composition formula, C51H87N9O10: mol.wt., 985; melting point, 140-150 deg.C; specific rotation, -57.7 deg. (C=0.78, chloroform); solubility, soluble in methanol, acetone, ethyl acetate and chloroform and insoluble in water, benzene and n-hexane, etc. USE:An antigermicide against human tuberculosis and intermediate for producing other mycoplanecin derivative. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula II obtained by treating mycoplanecin with an acid or reducing mycoplanecin is treated with an acid. |
