PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled alloy suitably and safely usable for conveying of hydrogen by compounding specific ratios of Mg, Zn and transition metals in the group VII of a periodic table. CONSTITUTION:The alloy for hydrogen conveying having the atomic ratio of Mg and Zn in the range of 3:1-2:1 and contg. group VII transition metals in periodic table such as Fe, Co, Ni, Rh, Pd, Ir, and Pt in 2-10wt.% for the total is manufactured. As the material metal to be used, the one having about >=99% purity is preferable. Said alloy is charged to a container to exhaust into the vacuum and hydrogen under about 1-10 atmosphere is introduced thereto, by which hydrogen can easily be occluded. Said hydrogen occlusion alloy is transferred from a container for hydrogenizing reaction to a container for easy conveying, is conveyed and is transferred into a container for dehydrogen reaction prepd. in the goal to take out hydrogen. At this time, since said alloy is resintered simultaneously with the emitting reaction of hydrogen, there is no danger of its fining and explosion, by which hydrogen can be safely and efficiently conveyed. |
