The object of the invention is to produce a module capable of being integrated within a mixing table or a system capable of processing sound for various applications such as high-fidelity reproduction or the measurement of noise. The purpose of this module according to the invention is to process digital audio signals through numerical filters which, in the final version of the device, may be obtained (or programmed) through an acoustic system which brings out the characteristics of the hall. A taker of sound may be disturbed by the room in which it is working, the latter engendering echos and unwanted resonances, the purpose of the present device is to eliminate these effects (or to program an apparatus intended to eliminate these effects) by deconvolution or by spectral correction in amplitude and phase. Similarly, during sound reproduction, for example with high-fidelity stereophonics, or for acoustic measurements, the hall may be disturbing for the same reasons and the proposed apparatus enables these effects to be suppressed. This device can just as well add in these effects.
