PURPOSE:To enable recording immediately after a switch-on in the case of no need for head restoration by providing a means for determining the necessity of restoration of an ink-jet head immediately after a switch-on in a recorder which includes an automatic head restoration device. CONSTITUTION:A main controller 1 refers to the state of a DIP switch 5 only for power-on initialization to determine the necessity of head restoration. On standby, head restoration is controlled by a key switch 6. Therefore, automatic head restoration immediately after a switch-on can be selected by setting the DIP switch 5. That is, unnecessary head restoration can be skipped to start recording without a waste of ink. |
