PURPOSE:To always keep the fittest distance between a nozzle and a workpiece by moving the nozzle along the optical axis of the laser beam, energizing the nozzle in the direction projecting from the housing and fixing it to the housing. CONSTITUTION:A housing 2 and a condenser lens 4 are displaced in the state that a lock mechanism 16 is released and a nozzle 5 is brought into contact with, for instance, a workpiece 6. Accordingly, the position of the nozzle 5 to the housing 2 can be adjusted and the relative place of the nozzle 5 to the housing 2 is obtained by it so that the distance between the condenser lens 4 and the workpiece 6 and the distance between the nozzle 5 and the workpiece 6 take respectively the fittest values. Thereafter, the nozzle 5 is fixed by the lock mechanism 16 to the housing 2. Therefore, even if a diameter at the radiating position of the laser beam L is adjusted, the fittest distance between the nozzle 5 and the workpiece 6 can be maintained and further the adjusting operation can highly easily executed. |
