<p>PURPOSE: To generate heat rapidly without performing arc discharge as compared with a susceptor having only a single microwave absorbing region by separating a pair of microwave energy absorbing regions by a material region transparent to microwave energy on condition that a composite material can not generate arc discharge within a microwave oven specified in its max. output. CONSTITUTION: A composite material 10 is constituted of two regions 12, 14 containing a microwave energy absorbable material, one region transparent or perspective to microwave energy and one layer 20 of an adhesive bonded to the microwaver absorbing layer 14. Two regions 12, 14 are separated by a material of one region 16 transparent or perspective to microwave energy. This composite material 10 must be one incapable of generating arc discharge within a microwave oven not exceeding the max. output of 2000 watt at frequency of 2.45 GHz. A layer of an adhesive, for example, a pressure-sensitive adhesive can be used as the microwave transparent region itself or in order to bond a microwave absorbing region to the microwave transparent region having no adhesiveness.</p> |
