PURPOSE:To decrease driving torque and to obtain sufficient electrostatic charge even with various toners without generating the wear of a coating blade by covering a developing roller and the coating blade with specific ceramics. CONSTITUTION:The developing roller constituted by coating a 1st ceramics 47b contg. atoms of at least one of titanium and tungsten on the surface thereof is used as the developing roller 47. The coating blade constituted by coating the 2nd ceramics 53b contg. atoms of at least one of silicon and germanium on the surface thereof is used as the coating blade 53. The wear of the coating blade 53 and the developing roller 47 is thereby prevented and the deterioration in images such as fogging and thinning by the deficiency of the electrostatic charge of the toner is prevented even after long-period use. In addition, the stain in the body by the splashing toner is prevented and the driving torque of the developing roller is decreased. The optimum electric charge is applied to the toner according to the characteristics of the toner to be used. The image quality is thus improved. |
