PURPOSE:To attain cost-down by keeping the concentration data of already- known concentration toner, correcting the concentration data obtained from a measurement means with the above-mentioned data and controlling the toner concentration with the data already corrected. CONSTITUTION:When the developer of specified toner concentration is contained in a cartridge 8 incorporating a toner concentration sensor 7 and the data set of the sensor 7 is instructed from an operation display part 3, the concentration data is incorporated from a CPU 1 and then written in a nonvolatile memory 5. The reference output line of a sensor becomes A, expressed in figure, and an output becomes V0 at the already-known toner concentration alpha. However, the output from a certain sensor becomes an output line expressed by B with variance and the output at the concentration alpha of the sensor becomes VSTR. Since difference between the output lines A and B is V0-VSTR, the output from the sensor is on the output line A if the output VS of the sensor at optional toner concentration is corrected with V0-VSTR. |
