PURPOSE:To obtain an electrode having small specific resistance and good bromine resistance by using a specific Ketjen black as carbon black which is a conductive material of a plastic electrode. CONSTITUTION:The total amount of carbon black and graphite to a thermoplastic resin is specified to 45:50-50:50 by weight, and the amount of carbon black to graphite is specified to 3:52-10:45. Ketjen black having an iodine absorption of 1000mg/g or more, a DBP absorption of 450ml/g or more, and a surface area (BET) of 1200m<2>/g or more is used as the carbon black. A plastic electrode in which drop in voltage efficiency is decreased and bromine resistance is good is obtained. Since this electrode has low specific resistance, the content of the thermoplastic resin in the ingredient is increased and the life of the electrode is increased. |
