2,4-Dihydro 3H- 1,2,4-triazol-3-ones of formula (I) in which R is 1-6C alkyl, are obtd. by (a) cyclising an amine of formula (II) with a reactant (III), in which L1 and L2 are salient reactive gps.; or alternatively, (b) reaction of cpds.
