A portable, adjustable back support comprises a rigid base plate 10 and a flexible support device 13 which consists of a number of parallel strips 13A which pass under raised buckles 11 on the base plate. At least one comb-shaped holder element 14 is inserted under the strips' end portions 13A' and the base plate to stop the strips sliding down in apertures 11A which, because of the fabrication method, are located in the base plate beneath the buckles. <IMAGE> |
