A separation membrane having cell sizes in the range of 0.1 to 10 microns, obtainable by mixing at least one linear alternating polymer of carbon monoxide and at least one ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbon in a solvent forming a solution; casting said solution on a substrate, and removing at least a portion of said solvent.
