PURPOSE:To accurately reflect the number of copies by inhibiting a counter from performing counter operation until recovery processing is finished in case of form jamming. CONSTITUTION:When a jam occurs, the sensor output from a paper discharge sensor 61 is broken, so a CPU recognizes that and sets a no-counter flag F. Once this no-counter flag F is set, counting-up operation is inhibited from being performed and this no-counter flag F is reset with the output of the paper discharge sensor 61. Therefore, while the no-counter flag F is set, the counter is inhibited from performing increment operation. A form which is already copied passes on the paper discharge sensor 61 when one set of copying forms is discharged to a paper discharge dish 40, and when the paper discharge sensor 61 detects the passage of the form, the no-counter flag F is reset, so that the count-up operation is restarted. Consequently, a correct quantity is displayed on the counter. |
