PURPOSE:To add functions of electronic cash registers and to vary and set accompanying parameter settings without altering an on-line program by composing a command of key codes corresponding to a series of key operations and sending the command. CONSTITUTION:The command consists of key codes of a series of key operations at the time of the manual operation of electronic cash registers C1-Cn and dummy data for matching the unit data capacity at the time of transmission. Then when a host computer 1 operates the register C1 previously, the previously generated command is sent and the register C1 is put in operation corresponding to the command. Namely, the register C1 reads out the key codes of the sent command in order and performs key processing corresponding to each key code at each time, so it operates equivalently to manual operation even in remote operation. Consequently, functions are added to the respective cash registers C1-Cn and the settings of parameters accompanying the functions are varied and added without altering the on-line program. |
