The door lock includes a handle rotating about an axis (14). The shaft of the handle (24) has an electromagnet (26) attached, with its plunger (27) arranged to move radially w.r.t. the axis. The latch bolt (3) slides within the lock casing, with its inner and end engaging the end of the plunger of the electromagnet. The latch bolt may only be withdrawn from its locked position, if the electromagnet is activated, otherwise the plunger blocks this movement. ADVANTAGE - Lock may operate only when electrically activated, and may use batteries since the power demand is small.
