PURPOSE:To reduce a required storage space by coding tool holders with specific discrimination codes, coding blades to be installed with information discrimination codes, memorizing, sorting and storing them in a management means, and selecting and combining them when necessary. CONSTITUTION:A memory element 3 is embedded in the forward end surface of a tool holder 1 to make it possible to write and read information. A blade 4 is also provided with a discrimination code 9 based on the number of ring grooves 5, etc. After use, the length of the blade 4 is measured by means of a measuring machine 6, and the code is discriminated by a CCD camera 9 and inputted to a personal computer 8. For the tool holder 1, also, a discrimination code in the memory element 3 is read by a reader 7 and inputted to the personal computer 8, and both are memorized. The tool holder 1 and the blade 4 are stored in a storage rack separately. When necessary, selected holder 1 and blade 4 are assembled by a management person and transferred to a magazine. A required storage space can thus be reduced. |
