PURPOSE:To enable to inhibit the generation of water tree by having a composition comprising a fixed amount of hydroxyalkilacrylate to polyolefine made as a covering layer. CONSTITUTION:A composition comprising olygomer of hydroxyalkilacrylate to polyolefine is made as a covering layer. Polyethylene, polypropylene, etc., can be cited as polyolefine. The kind of hydroxyalkilacrylate is not particularly limited, but 2-hydroxyethyleacrylate is named as a typical one. The content of oligomer should stay in a range from 0.1 to 10 weight percent. In the range of less than 0.1 weight percent, the inhibiting effect on a water tree is not seen, and in the range of more than 10 weight percent, polymer gets attached to an extruder's dies in the process of extrusion, which gives more possibility of creating a poor external appearance of a product by the generation of so called dies scum. The generation of the water tree is inhibited over a long period of time. |
