PURPOSE:To receive broadcasts in plural forms at the different aspect ratio of screens by providing plural sets of electronic circuits corresponding to the respective broadcasting formats and one set of a display device, and selecting the outputs of the respective electronic circuits with a selecting switch provided on an input side. CONSTITUTION:An antenna, tuning, amplifying and demodulating circuits respectively corresponding to, for example, the broadcast called as an NTSC system at the aspect ratio 4:3 and that called as a high vision system at the aspect ratio 16:9 are provided the title television receiver. Out of the plural demodulating circuit outputs, the desired one is selected by a selective switching circuit, and it is sent to a voice circuit and a display circuit. By a signal from the selective switching circuit, a shielded object driving circuit moves a shielded object 2 positioned in front of a screen 1 of the display device to a prescribed position according to the aspect ratio. Thus, the aspect ratio of the screen can be automatically altered according to the broadcasting format. |
