The control clusters, each of which comprises a plurality of neutron absorber rods, can be manoeuvred by means of electromagnetic mechanisms whose windings are fed by power bridges controlled from a desk (11). The control mechanism comprises a cabled control logic (12) serving the desk and supervising a plurality of cabled logic interfaces each of which itself serves a subgroup (10) of electromagnetic mechanisms for a specified number of clusters. At least one electronic power unit (23) including a computer and the power bridges of a subgroup which it serves is substituted successively and independently for each static power unit (9) including a cabled logic interface and the power bridges of at least one subgroup (10) which it serves. ……
